Absolutely — and I'd go even further than that. A professional photo session is one of the best investments you can make. Why? Because the time you spend with the people closest to you is priceless. Kids grow up, grandparents slow down, and sometimes, sadly, we lose the people we love most. What stays behind are the memories — not the cars, the jewelry, or the TVs, not even the properties. Time is the most valuable thing we have. Booking a session means you get that. Collect as many beautiful photos as you can — time moves fast.

I've laid out all the packages in detail on the pricing page, so you can find the one that fits best. If you're working with a tighter budget, the Essential package is a great starting point — same quality, just a more compact experience.

My goal is always to have happy, satisfied clients — the experience and the photos we get together are what matter most to me. Rescheduling is possible depending on availability. If you cancel within the last two weeks, I unfortunately can't refund the deposit. If you get sick or your flight gets cancelled, once the full amount has been paid, I can offer a voucher toward a future booking in the same price range.

My main goal is for you to be happy with the results. I can't take responsibility for the weather or for factors on the client's side — for example, if you wanted sunset photos but we ended up starting an hour late. That said, if something goes wrong on my end and the quality doesn't meet the standard I hold myself to, a reshoot or a full refund is absolutely something we can talk about. For that to work well, I do need your cooperation and for you to follow my guidance during the session. Before booking, take a good look through my portfolio to make sure my style matches what you're picturing — that way we avoid any surprises.

The sooner you book, the better — that's how I can guarantee your time slot, which becomes confirmed once the deposit is paid. Same-day bookings are possible too, depending on my current availability.

Feeling awkward in front of a camera is completely normal — most people don't think of themselves as photogenic, usually because of a few bad snapshots someone once took of them at the wrong moment. My job is to help you forget the camera's even there, and just have a good time. Some people warm up faster than others, sure — but honestly, anyone can get a great, genuine portrait once the camera starts feeling like a friend.

Not at all. A quick chat, email, or video call is all we need to find a location, timing, and clarify any other details.

Each package comes with a set time frame, but I don't work by the clock. I can usually tell when clients are getting tired or feel like they've captured enough — and if we run a little over, that's on me, not an extra charge.

I can't guarantee a clear blue sky — but every kind of weather has its own advantage, and I always aim to get the most out of whatever conditions we have. I can't promise everyone a picture-perfect sunset, but I can promise I'll find the best way to make the most of it.

After booking, we confirm the date and location, and once the deposit is paid, I'll send you a styling guide by email to help you pick the right outfit. On the day, if you'd like, we start with a short chat over a coffee or a drink. During the session, easy games and simple prompts help keep things relaxed and natural. Afterward, your photos go through editing and are delivered digitally within 72 hours.

With young kids, they're really the ones directing the session — we try to move at their pace, let them play and explore, and capture the real moments as they happen. I'm still a stranger to them at first, so they need a little time to get comfortable. One trick that works well: if a child isn't cooperating, we simply take a break from them for a bit and photograph the parents instead — nine times out of ten, the child wants to join in within a few minutes. Patience is the key here, and I won't charge extra if we need more time to settle in. I've also photographed children on the autism spectrum before — with patience, it's always manageable.

The most important thing is for the parents to stay calm. Often there's a simple reason behind it — tiredness, hunger, or just feeling unsure in a new situation. Usually, sitting down for a coffee with the camera still in the bag, just talking for a bit, is enough for the child to get used to me being there. If a child is shy or crying, their favorite toy can really help — we often start by photographing "their friend" first, which tends to break the ice. And again, I won't charge extra if we need more time.

We generally work within the time frame included in your package, but we stay flexible — sometimes kids need more time to warm up, other times they tire out quickly. We always adjust to the children's energy, because getting genuine, beautiful photos is what matters most — everything else comes second.

This depends a lot on your children's eating and sleeping routines. One thing we always avoid, for any session, is the hours around midday — the light is harsh and unflattering, and shadows become difficult to work with. Early morning or late afternoon tends to work best — for example, after a nap or after breakfast — depending on the season. In winter, sunset happens around 6-7pm; in summer, it can be after 9pm, which makes it a bit trickier to fit around nap and bedtime schedules.

I can, but it's not really my main focus. Newborn photography needs a very specific setup and extremely soft lighting, without flash — flash can be uncomfortable or even harmful for a newborn's eyes, and it can startle them. Many photographers do use flash; I never would. I also don't have the specific props and setup that newborn photography usually calls for. My focus is more on adventurous lifestyle and editorial photography, so for newborn sessions, I'd recommend finding a photographer who specializes in that.

For larger family groups, choosing the right location and time takes a bit more care — ideally somewhere that works for both the youngest and oldest family members, easy to get to and free of obstacles. Timing matters too: not too hot, and not too late in the day. Early morning or the hours around sunset tend to work best for multi-generational sessions. I always try to adapt to what works for each specific family.

An age gap between siblings is almost never a problem — the dynamic between an older and younger sibling usually works beautifully in photos. Older kids tend to feel more confident and know what to expect, which helps the whole family relax into the session.

Of course — pets are part of the family too, so they belong in the photo album just as much as anyone else.

There isn't one single "best" spot for sunset photos — almost the entire west coast of the island works beautifully. A few south- and east-facing locations also work well at sunset. Both the coastline and the mountains offer something special: the coast gives you light reflecting off the water, while the mountains offer a stunning wide view, especially on a clear day.

Of course — this is actually one of my specialties. Here's what I tell every nervous partner planning a surprise: women tend to notice things, and if a photo session comes up out of nowhere in Tenerife, they usually start asking questions. A good surprise proposal takes a bit of planning, a believable cover story, and some careful timing — but with a little acting on your part, we can make it a moment you'll never forget.

After booking, I'll send you a detailed styling guide to help with outfit choices. In short: comfort matters most — if you're not comfortable, it shows in the photos. Beyond that, choosing a similar style and matching colors makes a big difference in the final result — that's what turns holiday photos into something that feels closer to a magazine shoot than a quick vacation snapshot.

Despite the name, golden hour rarely lasts a full hour — it's closer to 20-30 minutes. A common misunderstanding is that the goal is capturing the orange sun itself, but what actually matters is the quality of the light at that low angle — soft, warm, and traveling through more atmosphere. As photographers, we care about the light, not the sun itself. That's why I plan the timing so there's room to relax and warm up together before that light arrives — but not so much time that you're tired by the time it does. For a sunset session, I usually start a one-hour shoot around two hours before sunset.

The main differences between the packages are the amount of time we have and how much ground we can cover. The Essential package includes 1 hour at a single location with multiple backdrops. The Experience package gives us 2-3 hours, enough to cover a wider area — combining, for example, mountain, old-town, and beach settings. The Deluxe package allows for 4-6 hours, which opens up more distant and unique locations — the north side of the island, for instance, has some real hidden gems worth the extra travel. The bigger the package, the more time there is for outfit changes, breaks, and simply enjoying each location — and the number of photos you receive grows accordingly. One thing to note: I don't currently offer transportation, so getting to each location is arranged individually.

As a rule, I take on no more than one session per time of day — this way I can guarantee quality and full attention, without rushing to the next client. On rare occasions I might take two sessions in a day, but generally I aim to keep it to one per day. Because of this, my availability is limited, especially during peak season, so I'd recommend booking your preferred date early.

I meet the 72-hour delivery window in almost every case. That said, since this is creative work, there are occasional situations where a bit more time is needed to make sure the editing meets the quality I hold myself to. If that happens, I'll always let you know in advance. The goal isn't speed for its own sake — it's making sure the final result is something you'll genuinely be proud of.

Technical skill and local knowledge matter, but for me, the real difference is in how the session feels. I want it to be fun, not a stiff routine of posing and forced smiles. That's why I bring games and playful little challenges into the mix — they take your mind off the camera, and that's when you get real expressions instead of a performance. I also work in two distinct styles. Lifestyle sessions are light and mobile, built for movement and spontaneity. Editorial and fine-art portraits are the opposite — more deliberate, with a fixed location, studio lighting, and one or two truly striking, carefully composed shots.

It mainly depends on what the client is looking for. Natural light gives us more freedom to move around and change locations quickly, with lighter gear. Studio lighting is harder to move, but it opens the door to something more dramatic and polished — the location and setup both take more time and precision. The most cinematic portraits usually come from this second approach, where I have much more control over light and shadow.

Not at all — there are plenty of good reasons to book a solo session in Tenerife. Some people want great content for social media, others are after standout shots for a dating profile, some need professional portraits for business, and some just want a beautiful way to remember their trip. Whatever the reason, solo portraits are absolutely worth it.

I always aim for natural poses and photos that tell a story, rather than anything stiff or staged. What works best usually comes down to the purpose of the shoot and your personality — some people feel their best in bold, confident poses, others prefer something quieter and more elegant. My job is to find what actually fits you, not to force everyone into the same mold.

For solo sessions, I'd steer away from crowded spots — being alone in front of a camera can feel a bit more exposed than shooting with a partner or family. A quieter, more intimate setting usually works better, like a charming old town or a botanical garden.

The length follows whatever's included in your package. In practice, I can tell when you're starting to feel tired, and we adjust the pace from there.

The good news is that Tenerife is a good destination almost all year round — that's why it's often called "the island of eternal spring." In winter there are slightly more clouds and occasional rain, but overall the weather is beautiful and sunny throughout the year. One thing to keep in mind: sunrise and sunset times change quite a bit between seasons, so it's good to plan your session timing around that.

Summer is usually hot and humid. Winter has more clouds and more rain, but this rarely stops a session from happening.

Around the summer solstice, the sun sets a little after 9pm. Around the winter solstice, it sets around 6pm.

The heat mainly affects sleep at night, not the session itself. Both the beach and the mountains stay comfortable, and we already avoid the midday hours because of harsh light — this is also the time to be careful about sun exposure. A longer session is really more like a family trip than hard work — part of the time is spent traveling by car with air conditioning. So summer heat is not a real problem for a longer family session. In fact, the longer daylight hours give us more time to enjoy the island together.

Yes, rescheduling is possible depending on availability — and I often suggest it myself a few days before, if the forecast looks difficult. The only thing I can't change is a request made just a few hours before the session is set to start.

Yes, of course. Depending on your package, you'll receive 20, 40, or 60 photos as a base. If you'd like more — maybe because of the type of session, or simply because it's hard to choose — I'll send you a separate folder with additional options, in a lower-resolution, reduced-contrast preview format so you can pick from them. From there, extra photos are available in sets of 10 for €100.

Your photos are uploaded as JPG files to an online sharing platform. You can download them one by one on your phone, or download the whole folder at once on a computer. The files are high resolution, around 3-5MB each — more than enough quality for printing.

I never hand over raw files to clients — you'll always receive fully edited, finished images. I only retouch when it's needed, and I always aim to keep the result looking natural and true to life. The one exception is fine-art or editorial photography, where we're creating a deliberately composed, cinematic scene — in those cases, deeper retouching is part of the style.
